March 29-30, 2023

Within the framework of the international conference “23rd Materials Technology Colloquium” (WTK), held in Chemnitz (Germany), a member of our research team presented the results of our research to date in the form of an oral presentation entitled: “Properties and characterization of Ni-B/B composite coatings deposited by chemical reduction method”. The WTK conference is a regular event organized by the Chemnitz University of Technology and provides an opportunity to present and discuss research results in the field of materials engineering. During the proceedings, research results from thermal spraying, material joining processes, incremental techniques, corrosion and electroplating, among others, were presented.

November 17, 2022

Within the framework of the XVI International Conference “Problems of Corrosion and Corrosion Protection of Materials”, held in Lviv, Ukraine, November 15-17, 2022, a member of our research team presented the results of current research on the ZOOM platform in the form of a presentation entitled “Microstructure and corrosion resistance of Ni-B matrix composite coatings with boron as a dispersion phase produced by electroless plating”. Information was also provided on the project under the Small Grant Scheme 2020 competition (National Center for Research and Development) funded by the Norwegian Funds.

OOctober 19-21, 2022

In the framework of the 4th International Conference on Materials: Advanced and Emerging Materials, held in Barcelona on October 19-21, 2022, a member of our research team presented the results of our research to date in the form of a poster.

The ICM conference is a regular event organized by the scientific publisher MDPI Open Access Journal Materials. This year’s fourth edition was held in Barcelona from October 19-21, 2022. The event was attended by more than 120 researchers from around the world, a large percentage of whom were scholars from Poland. During the conference, current research on materials characterization, nanotechnology in materials science and engineering, soft materials and biomaterials, optical materials, and electrical and magnetic materials was presented and discussed.

October 13-19, 2022

During the 12th International Advances in Applied Physics & Materials Science Congress & Exhibition (APMAS) conference held in Oludeniz, Turkey, October 13-19, 2022, a member of our research team presented the results of our research to date in the form of a poster.

The APMAS 2022 conference provides a global forum for scientists and engineers to present and discuss the latest innovations and new techniques in materials technology. During the conference, current research in condensed matter physics, nanotechnology, materials engineering, optical physics, quantum electronics and photonics is presented and discussed.

A member of our research team presented the results of our research to date in the form of a poster at the EUROCORR 2022 international conference held in Berlin, Germany, from 28/08-01/09/2022.

The European Corrosion Congress – EUROCORR, is an annual conference of the European Federation of Corrosion, which ranks among some of the best international conferences in the field of corrosion. It attracts more than a thousand delegates from the scientific world and is held in a different European country each year. The conference presents and discusses current research on modern testing methods, corrosion resistance of protective coatings, especially accelerated electrochemical methods, new trends in metal coatings, solutions for electric cars, battery modifications, hydrogen cells, and scientific development policies in the era of climate change.

„Fabrication and properties of Ni-B/B composite coatings” presentation was given during the XXIX National Conference of the Polish Electroplating Society and the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Precision Mechanics, entitled Challenges of Modern Electroplating”. Information was provided about the project within the Small Grant Scheme 2020 competition (National Centre for Research and Development) financed from the Norway Grants.

April, 25-28th, 2022

In the framework of the 5th International Conference on Applied Surface Science, which was held on April 25-28, 2022 in Palma, Mallorca Spain, a member of our team presented the results of our research in the form of a poster.

ICASS reported on and discussed current research on the role and use of surfaces in chemical and physical processes, related to catalysis, electrochemistry, energy, new/functional materials and nanotechnology. Also, the various techniques and characterization methods were discussed.

Objectives of project GalvaNiB funded by Norway Grants were presented at Łukasiewicz – Institute of Precision Mechanics, during seminar focused on projects carried out by the Institute. Presentation was entitled ”New electroless Ni-B/B and Ni-B/MoS2 composite coatings with improved mechanical properties”.
